Swedish millionaire admits to ice cream truck tire damage

VELLINGE, Sweden, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- A Swedish millionaire admitted to popping the tires of an ice cream truck because he was upset about the noise near his home.

Percy Nilsson, 71, owner of the Malmo Redhawks hockey team, initially denied being behind the tire damage in Vellinge during the summer, but he said he has now admitted to police that he used a drill to poke holes in the ice cream truck's tires, The Local.se reported Wednesday.

"I have been to the police and confessed. Now I want to start a debate about ice cream truck noise," Nilsson told the Expressen newspaper. "At 75 meters [246 feet] she had time to honk 10 times. In the middle of summer in a quiet neighborhood this is just awful."

"The ice-cream truck drivers remarked a few times earlier that I told them not to honk on my street. I warned them I would act if they did not stop and this summer I did," Nilsson said.
