INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Police in Indiana said they arrested a man accused of running through traffic nude and jumping onto vehicles while they were stopped at traffic lights.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a man called police around noon Monday to report a naked man had jumped onto his truck, the Indianapolis Star reported Tuesday.

The man told the streaker to get off his truck, and the suspect then attempted to jump onto the back of a white van, police said.

Police said the pickup driver told the dispatcher he saw the man put on a pair of black sweat pants.

Officers arrived and spotted Michael Copeland, 37, walking across the street "with his pants pulled down exposing his full buttocks."

Police said they saw Copeland throw a plastic baggie on the ground when they approached him. They found a second baggie while searching through a black jacket and gray shirt found on the ground near Copeland.

Copeland told police the baggies belonged to him and they contained cocaine and marijuana.

The suspect, who has two previous cocaine-related convictions and one previous marijuana-related conviction, allegedly refused orders to get into the police van, so his ankles were bound and he was lifted into the vehicle.

Copeland was arrested on preliminary charges of public indecency, cocaine possession and marijuana possession.
