NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- New York police issued tickets to 35 people who were among 1,500 skateboarders simultaneously riding down Broadway Boulevard, the New York Post reported.

The group of skateboarders took part in the so-called "Broadway Bomb" Saturday, slowly traveling down the street from 116th Street to the Wall Street Bull, the newspaper said.

Most of the skateboarders were stopped by police by about 11 blocks into the trip.

The type of citations police issued was not reported.
