SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 outside of San Antonio were shut down Thursday morning after a semi spilled limes all over the road, officials said.

The 18-wheeler crashed early Thursday; there were no injuries, but the truck's cargo -- 40,000 pounds of limes -- went flying all over the interstate, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

The highway was shutdown into the afternoon for removal and cleanup of the limes.

"Major accident 37 NB and SB to 10 WB closed; 10 WB traffic will use 10 EB to Pine Exit and Turnaround," said a tweet from the Texas Department of Transportation.

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
