WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The White House said it is not behind the "Adorable Care Act" social media accounts, which use cute animals to educate about the Affordable Care Act.

Politico quoted an unnamed White House official as saying the 'Adorable Health Care Act' campaign, which involves accounts on Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook, was linked to by official White House channels due to its creativity in spreading awareness about the healthcare law, but the White House did not create the social media accounts.

Organizing for Action, a non-profit that advocates for President Barack Obama's agenda, said it was also not responsible for the adorable campaign, which uses pictures of cute animals to highlight aspects of the law.

One "Adorable Care" picture retweeted by the White House's official account features a mouse saying, "I can rest easy knowing that lifetime caps on health coverage have been eliminated! Thanks, Adorable Care Act."
