Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe NEW YORK, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A comic book artist known for his work with Batman, Green Arrow and Green Lantern said he left tens of thousands of dollars worth of sketches in a New York cab. Neal Adams, whose work in comic books spans six decades, said he left two portfolio books, containing 100 to 120 sketches, in the trunk of a Crown Victoria taxi Sept. 4 and he has created a sketch of his cab driver to help track down the vehicle, the New York Post reported Friday. Advertisement Adams said the books were in a beige tote bag featuring a picture of comic book and cartoon character Bucky O'Hare. We need everyone's help, and, hopefully, the artwork will be found," said Adams' daughter, Kristine Stone. The family has turned to the Taxi and Limousine Commission for help. "The lack of certain details presents a challenge," said TLC spokesman Allan Fromberg, who described himself as a fan of Adams' work. "But we're going to do everything in our power to reunite Mr. Adams with his portfolios."
