ARBIS, Sweden, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- People living near a theater where organizers say they will hold Sweden's largest swinger party, said such an event shouldn't happen in their neighborhood.

A swinger party set to the theme of the 1999 Stanley Kubrick film "Eyes Wide Shut" -- which contains a scene depicting a masquerade orgy -- is scheduled for Oct. 19 at the Arbis Theatre in Norrkoeping, Sweden.

The swinger group Club Adam and Eva is hosting the party -- and 425 invited guests have paid 650 kroner ($106) each to attend.

"I know it's not illegal, but I don't think it's appropriate for a residential area," resident Mariah Jacobsson said.

Complaints didn't phase the theater's owner, Robin Karlsson.

"If someone rings me and says 'Hello, I want to buy 300 tickets,' than I'm not going to say 'And who will you be sleeping with?' I'm not allowed to, I can't and I don't want to," he said. "It is 2013 after all. How can people be scared of people shagging?"
