Gary Yates, who lives in Colorado, said he ended up with a spare ticket when the original date for his stepdaughter, Jessica, "backed out." He is now seeking someone to take the ticket for free and attend Saturday's game against the University of Florida as Jessica's date, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.
The ad, which was posted Monday and has since been removed, seeks an "attractive, professional, single well-educated gentleman, with a good sense of humor."
The description said being a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers "is not required, but is highly desirable."
The one catch revealed by the ad is that the recipient of the ticket must take Jessica out for a "modest dinner, drinks and delightful conversation with her before or after the game."
Yates said his inbox flooded with emails from prospects and Jessica is currently going over the list of applicants to find her date.
