Sept. 16, 2013 at 5:51 PM

GREENFIELD, Wis., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Wisconsin said a young boy who did not give his name walked into a police station with a $10.03 donation.

The Greenfield Police Department said the boy, estimated to be 8 to 10 years old, came in Friday afternoon with a bag of change and told the clerk he wanted to donate the money to the police, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday.

The department, which described the gift as a "sweet gesture," said the donation will be handed over to the Greenfield Police Foundation.
