Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- An Oklahoma woman who lost her high school class ring down the toilet 65 years ago said she was shocked to hear it had been found by sewer workers. Lodema Clement, 85, of Oklahoma City, said her ring fell down the toilet while she was living in Stillwater with her first husband about 65 years ago, and she never expected to see it again -- until she received a phone call from a librarian at her high school, Chickasha High School, in August saying the ring had been found, The Oklahoman reported Wednesday. Advertisement The librarian, Angela Widner, said she and colleagues went over old yearbooks to connect the ring to Clement, formerly Lodema Noland. Stillwater wastewater collection supervisor Don Bishop said the ring was discovered by workers repairing a sewer line. "It was pure gold," Bishop said. "It had initials LN and we could tell it was a Chickasha class ring." Clement said she probably will not wear the ring much due to arthritis, but it will become a family keepsake.
