FRIENDSHIP, Wis., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- A Wisconsin man raised money for a public library by playing 125 holes of golf in a single day and receiving pledges for each hole.

Dale Reich, 66, a retired teacher in Adam's County, played the 125 holes of golf Monday in Adams County and raised money for the Adams County Public Library via pledges, WAOW-TV, Wausau, Wis., reported Tuesday.

The amount of money raised by Reich was not immediately revealed, but Library Director Jeff Wavrunek said the money could purchase up to 100 new books for the library.

"We will probably buy materials, books, for the shelf, and we'll put a nice little plaque on there, 'donated by Dale or Dale collapsed on the golf course to provide this book,'" Wavrunek said.
