LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, N.J., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A New Jersey man said he replaced his mailbox with a 350-pound replica of a .44 Magnum to draw attention to his cabinet-making and metal fabrication business.

Roger Buchko, 49, of Lopatcong Township, said he made the 350-pound gun replica out of plywood and PVC pipe and mounted it atop a 1,200-pound steel base to serve as the mailbox at his home, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

Buchko said he created the mailbox artwork to showcase his abilities and advertise business. He said it appears to be working as an attention-grabbing device.

"I got people commenting from England," Buchko said.

However, he said the attention has yet to translate into a business boost.

"It's just to drum up business, because I'm broke," he said of the giant gun.
