The officials in Mellerud said the video was mostly comprised of footage from a classic car gathering this summer, and they were unaware of the close-up on the bumper sticker at the 4-minute mark of the video until after it had been posted, The Local.se reported Wednesday.
"If we'd seen the whole clip, we would never have put it up," Mellerud spokesman Lars Nilsson said.
Nilsson said the video was long and officials did not scrutinize all of its content before it was posted to the Facebook page.
Nilsson told the Expressen newspaper the video had been created by a private citizen from footage of the classic car event.
