Police use pictures in uniform on dating sites

Sept. 3, 2013 at 3:36 PM   |   Comments

NEW YORK, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A New York police spokesman said rules barring officers from using photos with uniforms on dating sites are not strictly enforced.

Multiple profiles made by New York Police Department officers on dating sites such as Match.com and OKCupid include photos of police officers in uniform, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

A police spokesman said it is against policy for officers to post pictures of themselves in their uniforms, but the rules are not strictly enforced.
