West Greenwich Police Officer Donald Fravala said he and Officer Michael Meehan worked for about 45 minutes to get the kitten out from under the hood of Kirsten Harrington's car after it crawled into the engine while she was parked at the TA truck stop in West Greenwich Monday, the Providence (R.I.) Journal reported Tuesday. "The cat just kept dodging us," Fravala said. "We didn't think it would be that involved." Fravala said they eventually removed the air filter of the car and Meehan was able to grab it by the nape of the neck. Harrington told the officers she planned to adopt the kitten, police said.
