The first giant tip took place Friday night at Brewskis in Ogden and the second came the following night at recently-opened bar Alleged, The (Ogden) Standard-Examiner reported. He said other businesses have reported recent generosity that may have come from the same source. "I guess they were golfing in Eden the day before and tipped the girl with the beer cart $1,000," Allen said. "I heard she was crying." Allen said workers had to figure out how to log the gargantuan tip on the computer system. "It only allows patrons to tip up to 100 percent, and he was wanting to tip, like, 2,000 percent," he said. "So he tipped 100 percent, and then had us list the rest of the tip as a purchase."
