FALMOUTH, Mass., Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Officials in Massachusetts said a bobcat was caught on camera in the first sighting of the species in the Cape Cod area since the 1800s.

Falmouth resident Chris Leboeuf said he took the video of the strange cat Aug. 16 outside of his home, which borders a conservation area, and wildlife officials have confirmed the video depicts a bobcat, WBZ-TV, Boston, reported Friday.
