Vibrator triggers bomb scare at Russian post office

Aug. 23, 2013 at 3:33 PM   |   Comments

KIROV, Russia, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Police in Russia said a package that caused a bomb scare at a post office turned out to be a vibrating sex toy.

The Kirov Region police department said the post office was evacuated Friday after the discovery of a package "making strange noises" and investigators tracked down the sender to ensure the object was not a bomb, RIA Novosti reported Friday.

The sender told police the package contained a vibrating sex toy that she wanted to take with her on a trip without packing it in her luggage.

Police said no charges were filed and investigators said postal employees did the right thing by contacting authorities about the package.
