MOSCOW, July 31 (UPI) -- A media monitoring company said Russia's Snob magazine, aimed at the country's wealthiest residents, is the Russian media website most prone to using profanity.

Media monitoring company Medialogy said its study found online media outlets in Russia used 1,133 obscene words during the past two years -- with Snob being the top practitioner, with 354 profanities appearing on the website during the time period, RIA Novosti reported Wednesday.

The company said Sports.ru followed with 202 profanities and other outlets on the list included the Russian Pioneer website, lifestyle magazine Lookatme.ru and culture website Openspace.ru.

The study was released amid conservative lawmaker Yelena Mizulina's campaign to have a bill filed in the fall to ban all profanities on the Internet in Russia.
