SAUGUS, Mass., July 31 (UPI) -- Police in Massachusetts said a young man and a young woman hid in a Macy's store until it closed then burglarized it.

Saugus police said they responded Saturday morning to the Macy's at Square One Mall on a report of an overnight theft and reviewed security tapes that showed the two suspects leaving the store with a bag of merchandise about 11 p.m. Friday, wickedlocal.com reported Wednesday.

Saugus Assistant Police Chief Ronald Giorgetti said security footage indicated the pair entered the store and found a place to hide until after closing, when they made their thefts.

Giorgetti said investigators were looking over the security tapes in an attempt to identify the suspects.
