CHICAGO, July 19 (UPI) -- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a former ballet dancer, treated a Taste of Chicago festival crowd to his smooth moves to the tune of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."

The former White House chief of staff, whose escapades were videoed last week and posted on YouTube, was seen taking off his tie, biting his lower lip and getting funky while Thicke's hit song played at the festival, ABC News reported Friday.

Blogger Josh Fruhlinger, who tweeted the video, described Emanuel's display as both "erotic" and "terrifying."

Emanuel's previous dance experience includes being seen swaying during Jennifer Hudson's performance at the 2012 Taste of Chicago and performing as a ballet dancer in his youth. Emanuel was offered a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet, but he passed in favor of attending Sarah Lawrence College.
