Sweden rejects 'OMG WTF' license plates

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 5 (UPI) -- The Swedish Transport Agency said it rejected a request for personalized license plates reading "OMG WTF" for being "too offensive."

The agency said a Stockholm driver requested plates reading either "OMGWTF" or "OMG WTF," but the agency decided to reject the plates after determining OMG to be Internet slang for "oh my god" and WTF to be Internet slang for "what the [expletive]," The Local.se reported Friday.

"Both the combinations you requested can be interpreted to be offensive," the transport agency wrote in its ruling. "The agency therefore rejects your requests."

The Local.se said previous rejected plate requests faced by the agency include "FCKU2MF," "666," "GESTAPO" and "SEXYBOY."
