BERLIN, July 3 (UPI) -- The official German dictionary, Duden, said words added to the latest edition include the English-inspired "Facebook" and "flashmob."
It also added a word beginning with the expletive describing feces and ending in "storm."
The words added for the latest edition of Duden, due out Thursday, also include "Compi," a slang term for a computer; "finanztransaktionssteuer," a financial transaction tax, and "vorstandin," a female executive board member, The Local.de reported Wednesday.
"The vocabulary changes so much every three or four years that it makes sense to revamp the standard work," Duden editor-in-chief Werner Scholze-Stubenrecht said.
Thursday's release marks the 26th edition of Duden, which is being published for the first time in Berlin instead of Mannheim.
