BROAD RIPPLE, Ind., July 2 (UPI) -- A man who left a $500 tip for an Indiana server said it was his 54th giant tip left as part of his late brother's final request.

Seth Collins of Lexington, Ky., who left the $500 tip for a server when he and his parents dined Monday at the Three Wise Men Brewery in Broad Ripple, said it was the 54th giant tip he has given out and the 17th state he has visited for the purpose of doling out the cash, WRTV, Indianapolis, reported Tuesday.

Collins said the huge tip was originally supposed to be a one-time event.

"My brother passed away last July and the last wish in his will was that we go out to dinner and leave somebody a $500 tip," Collins said.

However, Collins said the video he took of himself carrying out Aaron's last wish went viral online, and soon donations were pouring in from people who wanted him to repeat the stunt.

Collins said he has received about $60,000 in donations from around the world. He said he will continue to leave the big tips until the money is gone and he plans to visit restaurants in all 50 states to surprise servers.
