AMITY, Ore., June 13 (UPI) -- An Oregon woman said her cat's newborn kitten is healthy despite being born with two side-by-side faces.
Stephanie Durkee of Amity said the female kitten, which she dubbed "Deucy," was born Tuesday morning and she immediately noticed the feline had two faces, KGW-TV, Portland, Ore., reported Thursday.
Durkee said the kitten was rejected by her mother and has been receiving warmed kitten formula every two hours.
Durkee said she plans to keep Deucy.
Cats like Deucy are known as "Janus" cats. Durkee said her vet told her the oldest Janus cat he knew of lived to be 12 years old.
