OCOEE, Fla., June 6 (UPI) -- Commissioners in a Florida city said they will not change the new city logo, even though the mayor said it looks like a "purple turkey."

Mayor S. Scott Vandergrift asked the commissioners to reverse their decision to adopt the symbol, a passion flower, six weeks ago, but the commissioners said Tuesday they will not change the logo, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Thursday.

"Only one in 10 [citizens] who contacted me are in favor of the new logo," said Vandergrift, who described the logo as a "purple turkey."
