Princeton class plans tennis outfit record for reunion

May 27, 2013 at 2:16 PM

PRINCETON, N.J., May 27 (UPI) -- Members of Princeton University's class of 1998 said their reunion in New Jersey will include a world record attempt for most people wearing tennis outfits.

Class president Beth Brett said members of the public are invited to join the class during its June 1 reunion festivities in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for largest gathering of people wearing tennis outfits, The Times of Trenton, N.J., reported Monday.

"Everyone is excited," Brett said. "Princeton has a competitive and fun spirit and Princetonians love to play games and win and be competitive. This is one more challenge that we'll be able to put out there."

Brett said Guinness officials told her at least 250 people need to participate in order to set the record, which would be a new category.

"Everyone has to wear tennis sneakers and be carrying a tennis racket and a tennis ball," she said. "This is going to be quite a photo."
