The man encountered one of the suspects downstairs and the pair exchanged gunfire. The resident was uninjured, but the suspect was wounded in the shoulder and leg. The other two suspects fled in a Chevrolet Tahoe. Police said the resident told them he did not recognize any of the suspects.
