NEW YORK, May 12 (UPI) -- New York's 92-year-old Mike -- Mighty Atom Jr. -- Greenstein said his teeth have very little to do with pulling his car with his mouth in a strongman show.
The grandfather of three and great-grandfather of two is scheduled to pull off the feat of pulling his 2006 tan Buick LaCrosse with his teeth next week at Coney Island, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.
It's his first public strongman performance, but Greenstein is taking part in the family business. His father, Joe -- Mighty Atom -- Greenstein, was famous in carnival circles for biting nails, spikes and other sharp objects in the 1930s, the newspaper said.
Greenstein said pulling his car with his mouth is all about the mind and body control.
"I just blank my mind and concentrate and I say, 'I am more powerful than this car,' " he said. "It's not the teeth doing the work. It's the jaws. If you clamp down hard enough, it's the jaws doing the work and the neck muscles and the leg muscles. The teeth have little to do with it."
