LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 7 (UPI) -- Louisville Slugger in Kentucky said it is producing hundreds of pink bats for Major League Baseball players to use during Mother's Day games.

The bat company said more than 200 players have ordered the pink bats and more orders are expected before Sunday, when the players will be allowed to use the bats during games, The (Louisville) Courier-Journal reported Tuesday.

MLB said the used game bats will be collected and auctioned after Sunday's games to benefit MLB Breast Cancer Charities.

Louisville Slugger said members of the public can get their own personalized pink bats at www.sluggergifts.com and www.MLB.com. The company said $10 from each sale will be donated to breast cancer charities.
