The zoo said Thursday Sophie weighed 135 pounds and measured 6-feet-tall when she was born April 22 to Masai giraffe Hafina, a first-time mother, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday. Advertisement Officials said Sophie -- whose name was chosen by the great granddaughter of zoo donor Robert McMillan in honor of the Sophie giraffe teething toy for babies -- is making her debut Friday.
