Police: Worker took $10K worth of chicken wings, other meat

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., April 25 (UPI) -- A worker at a Connecticut meat and poultry company was busted on allegations of stealing $10,000 worth of chicken wings and other meat.

Police said recently reviewed surveillance footage from County Distributors in South Windsor allegedly showed Boris Delisser, 43, of Bloomfield taking products from the warehouse and loading them into a vehicle without a sales transaction in February 2012, WVIT-TV, New Britain, reported Thursday.

Investigators said they discovered Delisser had taken chicken wings and other meat products from the warehouse on several occasions. Police said he had stolen a total $10,000 worth of products.

Delisser was arrested Tuesday on a charge of first degree larceny. He was released on a $10,000 surety bond and is due to appear in court May 2.
