David Chan, 64, said the Springfield Cashew Chicken he sampled at Leong's Asian Diner in Springfield, Mo., marked his 6,297th meal at a Chinese restaurant and he has documented all of his experiences in a spreadsheet that dates back to 1955, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday. Advertisement Chan said he does not have rigid qualifications for the restaurants he puts on his list. "It doesn't have to be authentic Chinese. If it's Chinese-American, it's all the more interesting," Chan said. Chan said one of his favorite meals was a 1984 meal of dim sum and lemon chicken at ABC Seafood in Los Angeles. "For a good portion of when they were open, they were the best Chinese restaurant in the country," Chan said of ABC Seafood.
