Officers with the Rainbow District Animal Control office get about 100 complaint calls about dog poop every year. Advertisement To deal with it, they send officers in unmarked patrol cars to look for owners who let their dogs poop and run, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., said Friday. "The problem with poop and scoop enforcement is that it happens in a split second," said Richard Paquette, spokesman for the animal control office. The fine for failing to pick up dog droppings in Sudbury is $125, though Paquette said he writes very few tickets. Most times he reminds people they're responsible for picking up after their animals.
