DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, April 12 (UPI) -- The Dubai, United Arab Emirates, police force announced it has added a Lamborghini Aventador, a $500,000 luxury sports car, to its fleet to catch speeders.

The green-and-white sports car debuted on a Dubai Police Twitter feed, drawing a response reading, "Lambo cop cars. Do not speed in Dubai. They will hunt you down, and in Italian sports cars," CNN reported Friday.

The car has a maximum speed of 217 mph, CNN noted, adding 15 percent of traffic fines issued in Dubai are for driving at speeds in excess of 130 mph.
