British MP accidentally tweets porn link

READING, England, April 4 (UPI) -- A member of Britain's Parliament accidentally posted a link to a porn site because a number had been dropped from a shortened Internet address.

Rob Wilson, a Conservative representing Reading East, said the link he posted to his Twitter account was provided by the Conservative Campaign Headquarters and was supposed to lead to an article about fellow Conservative politician Iain Duncan Smith but the CCHQ accidentally dropped a number from the link, The Mirror reported Thursday.

The mistyped link led users to the website SexyDigg, which promises users they can "find sex partners near you."

"CCHQ has apologized and I regard the matter as closed," Wilson said.
