Advertisement El Paso police said a woman arrived home Monday and followed the sound of running water to her bathroom, where she discovered Hector Sanchez, 41, dancing nude, the El Paso Times reported Wednesday. Police said Sanchez, who the woman said she had never met before, refused repeated orders to exit the home. Officers said they found Sanchez lying nude on a bed. Sanchez, who was allegedly drunk, was taken to the El Paso County jail on allegations of criminal trespass and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $2,500. Plane makes emergency landing on road WESTON, Fla., April 3 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said a small plane carrying two people made an emergency landing on a road. Advertisement Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said the pilot of the twin-engine Beechcraft 18 had taken off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on a training exercise Tuesday, but was soon forced to make an emergency landing, The Miami Herald reported Wednesday. The plane successfully touched down at mile marker 44 on U.S. 27, near Weston. "The pilot did a good job with the landing," Jachles said. The pilot and passenger were not injured, Jachles said. It was unclear whether the plane ran out of fuel or suffered a mechanical failure. Snake stows away in potpourri LEVITTOWN, N.Y., April 3 (UPI) -- A New York state woman said a snake is loose in her home after apparently stowing away in a large bag of potpourri. Natalie Malik, 38, of Levittown, N.Y., said she bought potpourri Saturday at the Home Goods store in Riverhead. She said the next day she heard a rustling noise and entered the room to find the potpourri scattered with a freshly shed 8 1/2-inch snake skin in the bowl, the New York Post reported Wednesday. Malik said family members were unable to track down the snake and an exterminator was unable to identify the type of snake from the skin. Advertisement "It's disgusting. There is absolutely a snake loose in my house," Malik said. "It was in the potpourri. I am freaked out. I'm scared. I'm not sleeping at night. I'm afraid my dogs are in danger." Malik said she was told the potpourri, which was manufactured by a company called Sono Inc., may contain items from India. "There are poisonous snakes in India," she said. Home Goods spokeswoman Doreen Thompson told the Post the incident is unusual. "Our vendor has assured us that the manufacturing process for this product makes it highly unlikely for this to occur," she said. "That said, we have communicated with this customer directly to help resolve what seems to be a very unusual situation." Judge orders birther to pay $177K in costs NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) -- A New York man who filed several lawsuits claiming President Obama wasn't born in the United States says he will appeal a judge's order that he pay $177,000. Civil Supreme Court Judge Arthur Schack imposed the penalty Tuesday, the New York Daily News reported. The judge mocked Christopher Earl Strunk's claims. "I'm going to have this thing overturned and I'm not going to pay a dime," Strunk said after the hearing. Advertisement Strunk, a Brooklyn resident, refers to Obama as Barry Soetoro, using the name of his Indonesian stepfather, and the "Usurper" on a Website and suggests Obama is backed by a Jesuit conspiracy. He has filed several lawsuits seeking to have Obama's presidency declared illegitimate. His New York lawsuit, filed in 2011, named Obama and the New York Board of Elections as defendants. Schack ordered Strunk to pay $167,000 in legal fees to law firms that represented the defendants and an additional $10,000 penalty. Schack said Strunk's claims are "fanciful, delusional and irrational." "If the complaint in this action was a movie script, it would be entitled 'The Manchurian Candidate Meets The Da Vinci Code,'" the judge said.
