Likely twins raising funds for reunion

LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- A student in London and a Los Angeles actress are raising funds online to help them discover if they are long-lost twin sisters.

Anais Bordier, 25, a French fashion student living in London, said she saw Samantha Futerman, also 25, in a 3-minute YouTube sketch and thought it was like "looking back at myself," ABC News reported Wednesday.

Bordier said she decided to investigate further after seeing Futerman in the film "21 & Over" and she found out Futerman had also been born in South Korea and adopted at a young age. She said she decided to find the other woman on Facebook when she found out they had the same birthday, Nov. 19, 1987.

"At first glance, I only saw my face staring back from her profile picture," Futerman says. "After just a few clicks and a personal message from Anais, I knew I was about to embark on a journey that no one else had ventured before ... I was positive that this girl was in fact my biological twin sister."

Futerman said she and her likely sister found they share "a twisted sense of humor, a love of cheese and an apparent Napoleon complex."

The women are using fundraising website Kickstarter.com in an attempt to finance a meeting and a DNA test to prove their relation. The women said they have raised $34,000 with 15 days left to go in the fundraising drive.
