MIAMI, March 19 (UPI) -- A Miami woman said an anonymous tipster helped reunite her with her teacup Yorkie, which was stolen from in front of her family's restaurant.

Athina Kafouros said the dog, named Monster, had been stolen from the patio of the Mykonos Greek Restaurant while in his pink carrier Wednesday, WFOR-TV, Miami, reported Tuesday.

Kafouros said she circulated fliers around the area and promised a $1,000 reward for the safe return of Monster. She had received the dog as a Christmas gift.

Kafouros said a tipster came forward with information after learning of the dog theft from the news and Monster was returned to her five days after the theft.

One man has been arrested and could face a grand theft charge, police said.

Surveillance footage of the theft shows two men, appearing to be 20 to 25 years of age, grabbing the dog from on top of the patio table after Kafouros went inside.
