LEAMINGTON SPA, England, March 10 (UPI) -- A hungry bus driver in Britain allegedly pulled over with a bus filled with passengers to get a sandwich, onlookers said.
The bus was en route to University of Warwick's Coventry campus when the driver stopped to get a snack from Greggs bakery in Leamington Spa last week, Sunday People reported Saturday.
Passenger Tom Duncan took a picture of the driver as he exited the bakery and posted it online with the caption "Bus driver genuinely just stopped the bus to go get himself a Greggs."
"You'd think drivers were given a lunch break," another onlooker said. "Why on Earth are they going to a Greggs in the middle of a route? It seemed very odd."
The bus' operator, Stagecoach, said Friday: "The bus was on time and passengers weren't disrupted or delayed in any way."
