NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) -- A New York teacher got canned for using a shared school email account to send out shirtless pictures of himself to potential hook-ups on Craigslist.
Matthew Maleski, 32, was fired Tuesday from PS 183 after another teacher in the special education department found the emails in an account teachers shared for the purpose of communicating with parents, the New York Post reported Saturday.
The other teacher said she changed the password on the account and notified the principal.
Maleski -- a former male model who the Post said posed for the gay social network application "Hornet" before he became a teacher -- said he used an email application on his phone that syncs up multiple accounts, including the school account, and didn't realize others with access to the school account could see his other personal emails.
No inappropriate emails were sent to parents or teachers, the report said.
