PETRINJA, Croatia, March 5 (UPI) -- The prime minister of Croatia said he was "showing off" when he took a tumble from the top of an armored personnel carrier.

Zagreb daily newspaper Vecernji List said Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic was touring an army barracks Tuesday in Petrinja and climbed to the top of a parked BOV Patria AMV to pose for reporters, B92 reported Tuesday.

Milanovic said he fell from the vehicle when he misjudged its height and thought he would jump down instead of climbing down.

"That's life. One falls and gets up again. I was showing off, but feel no consequences," Milanovic said.

Vecernji said the prime minister didn't skip a beat after his fall.

"He quickly got up, dusted himself off, and continued with the protocol as if nothing had happened," the newspaper said.
