HIGHLAND, Mich., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- A suburban Detroit school said students were suspended for making a version of the "Harlem Shake" viral video featuring a live duck and sexual dancing.

A spokeswoman for Huron Valley Schools said the students at Milford High School in Highland were suspended after making the video, which first features several students appearing to study while one boy dancing before cutting to several clips of students dancing in sexually suggestive styles, The Detroit News reported Tuesday.

One student held a live duck during the dance scenes.

"The students lied to the teacher to gain access to the classroom and went as far as to use a live animal in the video," Huron Valley Schools spokeswoman Kim Root said. "Our kids have to be held accountable, now."

Root did not say how many students were suspended or the length of their punishments.

"With increased access to social media by our students, we cannot take this activity lightly," she said.

The incident comes after a group of 13 students were suspended from Brownsville Area High School in Pennsylvania for making a "Harlem Shake" video at school.
