NEW CASTLE, Ind., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Police in Indiana said a man who repeatedly called 911 to ask for a cheeseburger was arrested on an active warrant.

New Castle police said Gregory Jackson Sr., 52, was arrested at his New Castle apartment Friday night after calling 911 "multiple times requesting a cheeseburger," the Muncie Star Press reported Tuesday.

Jackson was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to show up at a hearing two days earlier.

Police said Jackson has been convicted of public intoxication at least 13 times since the early 1990s, most recently Feb. 15.
