JACKSON, Mich., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A Michigan woman said her 10-pound baby was born via emergency Caesarian section the same day she learned she was pregnant.
Linda Ackley, 44, went to Allegiance Health in Jackson Friday to receive a CT scan for a suspected hernia and doctors soon discovered she was pregnant, mlive.com reported Wednesday.
Kimberly Kay Ackley was born via emergency C-section at 11:20 p.m. Friday.
The mother and newborn daughter were discharged from the hospital Monday.
"She is our miracle baby," Ackley said.
She said she thought she was unable to get pregnant after undergoing extensive abdominal surgery for an infection two years ago.
Mike Ackley said calling the pregnancy a surprise "doesn't even come close."
"I wish someone would have taken a picture of my face," he said.
However, Ackley said he was overjoyed by the birth, which he said was the second miracle after Linda's survival two years ago.
"First my wife came back to me, and now, I have a baby girl," he said.
