BALTIMORE, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Loyola University of Maryland said about 160 alumni reaffirmed their marriages for the third annual Valentine's Vow Renewal.

The school said the third annual event, organized by the alumni relations office and the campus ministry, featured couples who have been married for time periods ranging from more than 50 years to less than a year renewing their vows Sunday at the Alumni Memorial Chapel, The Baltimore Sun reported Monday.

"We say God is love," said the Rev. Frank Nash, Loyola's alumni chaplain. "All of these couples who pledged their undying love? That's God."

The school said the event was aimed both at keeping ties strong with alumni and spreading word of the chapel's availability for weddings.
