MANCHESTER, England, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A British man was found with 44 cellphones stuffed inside his bicycle shorts after allegedly stealing the phones from nightclub patrons, police said.

Managers at Warehouse Project, a nightclub in Manchester, called police after a number of patrons complained their phones had been stolen. Police arrived and agreed to search everyone as they exited the club.

Eventually, the Mirror said, they found Iulian Cojocaru, 28, who was wearing bicycle shorts underneath his clothing and had stuffed 44 phones in them throughout the night.

He pleaded guilty to 25 counts of theft, police said.
