HANNOVER, Germany, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A German wildlife park said it was unable to weigh four baby white tigers due to their "wriggling and fuss."

Juliane Gunkel of the Hodenhagen Serengeti Park near Hannover said zookeepers took the four tigers and four baby white lions, which were all born in the autumn, away from their mothers to be vaccinated, wormed and weighed, The Local.de reported Thursday.

Gunkel said the tigers, which are about a month older than the lions, refused to hold still long enough to be weighed.

"They were planning to vaccinate, worm and weigh them all, but they couldn't weigh the tigers in the end. They wouldn't stay still," Gunkel said.

"There was quite a lot of fuss, they didn't like being handled, but the vet had to take a look at them -- this was the first time they had been removed from their mothers since being born. The wriggling and fuss were great indicators though. It was all natural behavior."
