Michael Furrh, 44, the second assistant pro at Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington, took a video of himself using his long club last month at the country club when he whacked a ball 146 yards, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Tuesday. Advertisement Furrh submitted the video and other evidence to Guinness in his claim to have created the world's longest usable club. The previous record was set by Karsten Maas of Denmark in 2009. Maas, who used a 13-foot, 5-inch driver to hit a ball about 134 yards, posted a comment to Furrh's video on YouTube. "Hi Michael," he wrote. "You just broke my nearly 4-year-old world record.
