KRASNOYARSK, Russia, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- The Russian Federal Bailiff Service said pictures of persistent debtors will be placed on coasters in bars and restaurants in Siberia's Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Natalia Fomina, a spokeswoman for the service, said officials are hoping the pictures will be recognized by citizens who will report the culprits to authorities, RIA Novosti reported Friday.

"We have already tested this practice when we put the pictures of debtors in the newspapers with explanations of their debts, and asked local residents to report on the whereabouts of these wanted persons," Fomina said. "People respond. They call us and help us. We hope that this experiment with beer coasters will bring positive results as well."

The coasters will feature the suspects' pictures and names as well as a contact number for the bailiff service.
